Classes are limited to 4 students

We limit all of our Workshops to 4 students. Training is hands-on, our goal is for every student to fully comprehend the curriculum. Learning in a small class, you won’t have to fight the crowd to get a question answered.

Grading

Grading is based on three types of exam; written, performance and presentation. Students with a grade of 80% or higher will receive a certificate of completion. Students who score 88% or higher will receive a letter of recommendation.

Custom Setups

In this Boot Camp, you’ll learn more than just factory setups. We teach you how to adjust the guitar to the player’s playing style. Understanding the right questions to ask your customer, and how to integrate that information into the perfect setup.

Complete Refret

Learn how to refret bound & un-bound necks. Plane & Radius a fretboard. Level & Recrown Frets Like a Pro.

Bridge Saddle Adjustment

Adjusting the action at the bridge saddle(s) gives you the options of high, medium or low action.

Carving the String Nut

The condition and action at the String Nut will affect the play-ability of any guitar. For example; tuning issues, intonation, string rattle and ease of play.

Pickup Adjustment

When the pickups are adjusted correctly, your guitar will sound great. However, when adjusted incorrectly, you may experience load pops, intonation issues, string rattle or weak output.

Adjusting The Intonation

Adjusting the intonation is the final step of a setup. When adjusted properly, your guitar will play well- in-tune. We teach both traditional techniques as well as various Tempered Tuning Systems.

Neck Resets (bolt-on necks)

The angle of the neck is critical to optimum volume, tone and play-ability. During this Workshop, each student is required to perform at-least 3 neck resets.

Basic Wiring

We’ll explore the various types of pickups (acoustic & electric). Including the Taylor ES-1 & ES-2 Systems. For magnetic pickups, we’ll learn about Color Codes,  Jacks, Switches & Pots.
